Vindicator class star destroyer1/8/2023 A base model itself, the Vindicator also served as the basis for the Immobilizer 418. It was meant to replace the Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser, as the Empire's primary multi-role vessel. It was most often deployed where Imperial-class Star Destroyers were not available, and where smaller ships were not powerful enough to engage Rebel fleets. It was intended for use in situations in which Imperial-class Star Destroyers were unavailable, and smaller ships were not powerful enough. Other configurations (such as this model) could only carry up to two TIE Fighter squadrons. For starfighters, he had just over three hundred Tie fighters Tie bombers combined. Due to the damage on some of his ships, his sublight speed was also greatly limited. Most Vindicators were specifically configured so that they could carry a full TIE starfighter wing and operate independently without the need for support ships. That left him with three Star Destroyers, a single Vindicator class cruiser, two Nebulon Bs, and three Raider class corvettes. As such, it functions as escort for larger vessels, as well as a light frontline vessel and heavily-armed peacekeeping vessel. The Vindicator-class was decently armed and well-armored, sporting 25 light turbolasers, 20 light quad turbolasers, 20 point-defense laser cannons, 20 light point-defense ion cannons, and 6 tractor beam projectors. The Vindicator-class heavy cruiser was a 600-meter long warship used by the Galactic Empire, manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems.
